1、检查井应设在管道交汇处、转弯处、管径或坡度改变处、跌水处以及直线管段上每隔一定距离处。

（1）井底宜设流槽。

（2）污水检查井流槽顶可与0.85倍大管管径处相平，雨水(合流)检查井流槽顶可与0.5倍大管管径处相平。

（3）流槽顶部宽度宜满足检修要求。

4、交汇井交角不得小于90°，主管与支管内壁距离不得小于300mm。

5、检修室高度在管道埋深许可时一般为1.8m,污水检查井由流槽顶起算，雨水(合流)检查井由管底起算。

6、在污水干管每隔适当距离的检查井内，需要时可设置闸槽。在排水管道每隔适当距离的检查井内和泵站前一检查井内.宜设置沉泥槽，深度宜为0.3～0.5m。
