排水用检查井是城市地下排水排污管道系统中连接管道的井状构筑物，设置在管道交汇处、转弯处、管径或坡度改变处、跌水的地方或直线管段上每隔一定距离处，是管网系统检查和疏通、防止管道堵塞的必要设施，在管网系统不可或缺。
